Removable Appliances

Removable appliances are commonly referred to as “plates”. They are usually made of acrylic (resin polymer) body and wires for retention (gripping), and springs for moving teeth.  They effectively achieve simple tooth movement and bite correction in young children. 

Unfortunately, it only works if the appliance is in the mouth (worn as instruced by Dr Arun); therefore, compliance is the key determinant when it comes to the success of the orthodontic treatment.
